Not as much as I wouldapos;ve liked because I had some off days. I need to find another time to run errands, because when I chew up the morning, it takes a couple of hours for me to settle down. Then production drops off in the evening, I think because my brain gets fed up and starts looking for other things to occupy its time. Like stupid hockey games.

Anyway, only 1172 words yesterdsy. 2475 words today. Total Crunch wordage since last Saturday: 15,490. Not quite enough. Granted, thereapos;s altogether too much set-up still going on, and set-up takes time.

In mai putin de 24 de ori am urcat si am coborat de pe varful muntelui pana in adancuri ...pana in adancul sufletului. In cerc sa fiu coerenta in ganduri dar e clar ca am pierdut firu undeva si bantui acum.

CEVREIDELAVIATAFEMEIE?

Can everyone please be nice?
Everyone is going through pretty much the same things on here and of course everyone is inclined to get cranky and what not, but if someone says something you donapos;t agree with you donapos;t have to reply to their post and be rude and nasty and mean. No one is making you type mean things and push the button to send it.
We all come on here for support and right now i feel this community isnapos;t being supportive.
Last night i really needed help and NOBODY replied to my post...For a support community that isnapos;t exactly what iapos;d call supportive.

Im not trying to be mean but i just want everyone to see that being mean doesnt do anyone any good at all and it only makes people feel bad.
Please be nice....

cat urinates frequently

Seeing as how there really hasnapos;t been much out of the ordinary to report Iapos;m thinking about doing occasional movie reviews to help add some entries on here. Also Iapos;m more than willing to review movies for other people seeing as how a lot of people I know are so busy and when they actually have the chance to rent a movie they tend to get disappointed by their movie picks. So if you want please feel free to send me an email or something and Iapos;ll look at the shit youapos;ve been meaning to watch but have been too busy to do.

And on with the review.

Iapos;ve been actually looking forward to this movie for some time. Yes Ibelieve itapos;s an independent film, and I KNOW that itapos;s CANADIANin origin just from the minor bits of dialog (plus reading that it was made in Canada during the updates on U.H.M.) .
I bought this movie expecting a campy monster movie that had a good deal of violence and a fairly decent story line, okay my standards tend to be low on movies like this, and frankly I did not get disappointed.

Jack Brooks Monster Slayer is basically the story of Jack Brooks (doi), as a kid his family was killed during a camping trip in the woods and he never got to deal with it. Modern day Jack is just a bottle of pent up misplaced rage, the root of the problem is that when he was a kid he ran away when he feels that he should have stayed and done something about it. As we come to terms with this plumbers sucky life we also see Robert Englunds character (whoapos;s name escapes me right now) a science professor for a night class. he originally enters into the story and asks JACK to help him with a problem with the pipes in this old house that he bought (A HOUSEWITHAHISTORY... DUNDUNDUN). Well when he figures he has the problem solved Jack unwittingly unleashes an ancient evil, a black heart from a long dead Japanese demon. Not to give too much of the plot away the professor winds up discovering the heart by getting kind of of possessed and waking up having dug a good portion of the ground up with his hands, he continues the work now fully aware of his deeds and unearths a box with human remains and (GASP)the heart. From there he scarfs it down and begins the two day transformation into a full on rubber and foam movie monster (not a lot of CG done here except for maybe one shot and that was only some green screen background work to show off the animatronics better... Seeing as how stuff like that is expensive and itapos;s really hard taking that out into the field). Inevitably after the monster is semi-revealed Jack and his girlfriend/ex-girlfriend (I donapos;t know thatapos;s never really resolved ) manage to escape but his radio is tuned to the oldies and it plays the song that reminded him of the night his parents were killed. SO... He figures "Fuck it" and goes back on a ravenous demon killing spree... With a pipe, a screw driver or chisel, and a roll of duct tape. I did say the guy was a fucking plumber. From there itapos;s pretty predictable, entertaining but predictable.

Ihonestly compared this favorably with Evil Dead 2 and Slither. The human and animal gore was really not over the top. I mean you had the typical monster pouncing and biting the neck then the monster head shaking about to show how violent it is, and throwing some blood around. Mostly it was just off screen violence... Except when it came to monster bashing that got a little fun to watch.

As I said for monster movies like this Itend to have low expectations and Ienjoyed it. Iapos;m glad I bought it and Iapos;m more than willing to recommend it so long as they know what theyapos;re getting into.

Iwill say one thing that disappointed me though. For a good portion of the movie it was just showing off how much Jackapos;s life truly sucked. Whiny nagging blond girlfriend, crappy job, shitty councilor, real problems, and the people who never know when to back off and let him DEALwith said problems. You never really got to the good monster scenes until the very end of the movie.

Any-who thatapos;s about it... Please if you want something reviewed please let me know. Just know that Iapos;m really not a fan of DRAMAS and Iapos;m really not into a lot of foreign and artsy films.

J-School Day
  • Woke up, got dressed, ran to my first interview with G-ville Sun. Interviewer said I needed more experience and gave me her card.
  • Met Alison, an ad major from Cypress Creek High. I got really excited and we chatted for a while.
  • Stuck around to meet Dana Eagles, Staff Development Editor at the Orlando Sentinel. Told him about my plans with Danny and made arrangements to meet with him and the Online Editor the next time I come home.
  • Went to eat @ Home Zone.
  • Went to Reporting. There was a guest speaker, Andrea Billups, and I asked two good questions.
  • Went to Africa, but decided to leave because Dana Eagles took a copy of my portfolio and I needed to make a new one.
  • Went to Weimer, printed resumes and recopied portfolio. Said hi to Danny, Kim Walsh-Childers and introduced myself to Les Margulis.
  • Went to Starbucks, met Shannon.
  • Went to Jacksonville Business Journal interview, met Robert Ward. I think I impressed him and we talked about paid internships. Balla
  • Pink Sneakers Productions interview. Nice interviewer, but Iapos;m a bad fit for the job. She laughed at my "I will not be ignored" motto.
  • Went to Jennings, chilled out. Shannon called me to help with her photos for MMC, so I got dressed and went to meet her. She went to class, I went to Weimer. I plugged in her friendapos;s camera battery to charge it.
  • Sent an e-mail to Jeff, who I met yesterday after the panel discussion. Sent an e-mail to Danny Sanchez, whoapos;s out of town.
  • Left Weimer to get food. Realized I forgot camera battery in computer lab. Realized lab was locked.
  • Went to Chik-Fil-A to eat.
  • Went back to Weimer to see if computer lab was open. It wasnapos;t
  • Wandered down 3rd-floor hall to find a faculty member. Discovered the studio for the radio station. Went down the faculty side of Weimer, ran into Mindy McAdams and asked her if she knew how to get into the locked lab.
  • I namedropped Danny Sanchez as we walked to the lab. She recommended I take MMC 3260. She got us in with her faculty ID, and I thanked her.
  • I helped Shannon with her MMC story and tried to think of a good question for Andrea Billups. I saved a draft of the e-mail and looked for cool backgrounds for my Twitter page.
  • We left, headed to Starbucks at the Reitz Union.
  • Stopped by Century Tower to take pictures on the way. Shannon took pics of blurry cars. We took pics of our hands. We took a lot of pics.
  • Went to get coffee. I got a vanilla latte, didnapos;t really like it. We left Starbucks and headed to Jennings to call it an early night.
  • Ran into a group of kids chalking the letter G on the sidewalk near Turlington. Shannon and I said "Excuse me" at the same time to ask the guy what was goinapos; on.
  • The Gapos;s stand for Gary, a presidential candidate, he said. He said Gary believes in happiness, money, and other vague things.
  • We interrogate him more and walk away talking about what a good story it is. We get to Broward, and I suggest Shannon and I do the story and share a byline. Then I decide to let Shannon do the story for herself cuz I wouldnapos;t have time to write it.
  • She freaks out and says she canapos;t do it.
  • "If youapos;re not doing it cuz you donapos;t feel like it, then weapos;ll go to Jennings, but if youapos;re not doing it cuz you donapos;t think you can, then I will drag you back."
  • We go back and start interviewing. We follow them around, interviewing members and takinapos; pics.
  • We go to Jennings and write an e-mail to pitch the story to the Alligator.
  • We work on a lead and some supporting paragraphs.
  • Figure out how shannonapos;s gonna get home.
  • I walk Shannon to Turlington and she walks back to Springs while Iapos;m on the phone with her.
  • I decide the dayapos;s been pretty darn eventful, and I should write about it here.
  • I finish the Andrea Billups e-mail and send it.
  • I post this.

doom 3 cracks

The Annals
"It is recorded in the chronicles that the fearsome army led by Mad King Dorneus was a legion of zombies, such as has never been seen before or since. Though the neighboring lands prepared for it, the war they feared never came, for in the space of a night, the king, his army, and all the people of his land disappeared, leaving naught behind them but ruins and swirling zombie powder.

The circumstance of their passing is a mystery never like to be explained."

This is from the Sage Knowledge entry on the Banshee in Final Fantasy XII, and itapos;s probably my favorite one of them all.

Now, the question is, why didnapos;t we get anything this awesome in the actual goddamn game?

Screw the glowing rock candies of mass destruction, I want my Batshit Insane King of the Undead. ^_-
